5. Configuration. Project Target

This chapter covers the topic of saving converted ringtones. Ringtone Creator gives you two options and one advanced option of performing this operation.

Here's the Project Target configuration window:


You may choose to specify some other folder as a target (uncheck the Same Folder option in the Output Path section if it's checked and find the appropriate folder using the Browse button). As an option, you can elect to use the same folder where your source ringtones are located (if you think that you need to check the Same Folder box, you're absolutely right).

The Same Folder option is very convenient if you have a lot of ringtones and don't want to browse your whole hard drive for converted ringtones. We've analyzed some common preferences of our clients and found out that this option is very popular.

If you're working with ringtones without explicitly set titles (a title is stored inside a ringtone; as opposed to the extension which doesn't - if you rename a ringtone having a title the title won't change), you can choose to use ringtone filename as a title. Usually Ringtone Creator puts "Untitled" into the ringtone title if the title is not present, but you can override this behavior by checking the "Filename instead of 'Untitled'" option.

Now let's cover the Project target option. You are free to choose from the following options:
ZIP Archive - if your intent is to convert ringtones and put them into one (possibly big) ZIP file, this option will be very useful. If you choose this option, you'll be prompted to define a file name for the archive. It will be located in the folder chosen in the previous section - Same Folder;
Output folder - alternatively, your choice may be to save ringtones in uncompressed state in some folder (see above). This opton applies both to ringtones and folders;
XML data feed - this option is available with our freeware RingT1 data feed plugin and is used for creating data feeds for Unwiredtec's search engine RingT1. Please refer to this page for information about installation, configuration and usage of this plugin.

Archive file name - as you might have noticed, this field is enabled only if you're using the ZIP archive option.
